Directions EMEA 2025 Poznan: New AI Smarts, Old-School Networking Success

My Directions Takeaways

Lots of AI, luckily not all AI.

Business Central core.

Power Platform.

And very important, connecting with other attendees.

However, due to the limited number of flights to and from Poznan, just the whole Tuesday and Wednesday at Directions, on Thursday only joined the Keynote 3, community keynote.

But, did 6 sessions per day, so maximized my visit.

Ooh, also joined the Yaveon-Tasklet party on Tuesday and offcourse the Directions party on Wednesday.

Herewith my Takeaways in a nutshell.

Old-School Networking

With 3200 attendees, many sponsor sessions & booths, and community zones it was easy to do some old school networking.

Visit booths from partners in crime like Tasklet Factory (Mobile WMS) and MultiSoft (Mobile NAV), to Aptean and Staedean, both former employers of me.

And offcourse spoke to many other people at the idyn booth and during breaks or after sessions.

Good to see and join the BC community.

My Takeaways

A lot on AI, however start small, as everything seems to have limitations.

Use Agents for one task in Business Central, as on the background they are just a user with a permissionset, a profile and thus limited, otherwise they do your work wrong and very slow. Keep it simple and fast.

Still, changes in the Business Central core ERP. Not that much, but did see some interesting things to look into.

Start with AI with a few pilot customers.

Look to AI as your AI Assistant.
